ABC Covers the Presidential Election with Ikegami UHL-43 Cameras

ABC has added Ikegami UHL-43 cameras to the lineup at their TV-3 studio in New York.

One of ABC’s main studios, TV-3 is home to the popular news program “World News Tonight”, and has been employing Ikegami’s SD and HD cameras for more than 30 years. ABC updated its TV-3 studio to “4K”, adopting Ikegami UHK-430, Native 4K cameras in 2017.

The studio was adapted for special coverage of Super Tuesday in March and Ikegami (UHK-430) cameras were utilized. Sharing the same optical systems and video processor, the UHL-43 provides a perfectly matched picture quality to the UHK-430. The successful coverage of Super Tuesday proved that this compact fellow camera is well suited to enhance operational flexibility for the upcoming live coverage of the Presidential Election in November.

The Ikegami UHK-430 and UHL-43 cameras will play a major role in broadcasting one of the most important and biggest events, “the Presidential Election” in November and the series of presidential primary elections.

In addition to the UHK-430 and the UHK-435, a flagship model of Ikegami’s 4K / HD system cameras, using the UHL-43 equipped with 4K / HD output as a multi-purpose camera expands and brings the maximum flexibility to operational capability.
